Ditch The Diet!

After the Christmas binge and the New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, research shows it is about now that will power starts to wain and we fall off the diet wagon! So why when we really want to lose weight can’t we just do it! The reasons are often unconscious!

As human beings we are all creatures of habit, we like routine and like anything else our relationship with food is a habit that needs to be broken. We also only have a limited amount of daily will power that get’s used up when the kids are arguing and whinging, the boss is getting on at you and the stupid driver that cuts you up at the roundabout! So when our will power tank is out of gas we break! So we can’t rely on will power alone to get us through!

The word diet itself implies a temporary highly restrictive plan that will result in weight loss, this is just setting us up to fail reinforcing those negative patterns. The moment you tell yourself you can’t have anymore chocolate the more you want it! And let’s face it who would want a life without chocolate!

We all know that losing weight is about eating less and exercising more blah blah. Our hunger and energy usage is controlled by the brain mostly from your unconscious mind, your unconscious mind is there to protect you and when you go on a restrictive diet your brain thinks it is not getting enough food it preserves energy by decreasing your output. This results in your metabolism slowing down and you requiring less food just to maintain your weight!

To really lose the weight, keep it off and be happy and healthy we need to change our thought processes about ourselves and our relationship with food. This needs to be something that is going to be sustainable for the rest of your life that allows you to still have the foods that you enjoy. Using hypnosis to access your unconscious mind we can change your thinking patterns making you feel confident about your body, changing any negative thoughts about eating and help you lose weight responsibly without impacting your emotional well-being.

Let’s ditch the diet and control our mind to control our bodies!
